These are hand-turned salt and pepper mills from our woodworking shop. You will receive exactly the mills shown in the respective picture, as we photograph and upload each of our products individually. Truly unique pieces!
Here you'll find a small selection of unique mills made from various woods and in different designs. However, they all function identically – every mill delivers first-class grinding results in the kitchen. We offer both individual mills and pairs. Some pepper mills harmonize so well that we only sell them as a pair.
The mills always feature an outstanding grinding mechanism from the manufacturer Crushgrind. The manufacturer offers a 20-year guarantee on these exceptionally high-quality and durable grinding mechanisms. The wood is very finely sanded during turning and then treated with a light, food-safe oil. The mills are filled by removing the top part. This exposes the cavity, which can then be filled with pepper, salt, or other spices. The grinding mechanism offers various grind settings and can also be easily adjusted.
Since all mills from the Garrelts carpentry workshop are meticulously handcrafted on the lathe, their dimensions are not always exactly the same. The shape also varies. We distinguish between the designs of cylinder, parabola, and funnel. Additionally, some select mills feature a small mother-of-pearl dot inlaid in the head – this detail can be seen in the pictures.
